The Running Leopards 5K

Nick and I ran in the East High Running Leopards 5K on March 28th. We had a blast. It was fun to run it together, well not together technically. It was funny, before the race I kept asking Nick if he was going to run it WITH me, like side to side. He said we'll see with a half smile smirk on his face. I knew the answer to that. I should know better because in the last 5K we were in last September Nick left me and Caden to fend for ourselves on our bikes while him and Jackson sped ahead. Mind you I was 9 months pregnant and very large. After the race I asked him why he didn't stick together as a family and his response was "the competition got the best of me." I laughed. Nick is a very competitive person. While we were waiting to run, he would look around at the people and tell me who he was not going to let pass him. I love his competitive nature.

Nick finished with a time of 21 minutes.
I finished with a time of 26.30 minutes.

We definately want to sign up for another race. I would like to do a 15K and eventually a half marathon.
